What is the refund policy?

For live classes, a full refund will be issued if requested up until 12 hours after the first class meeting for spring and fall classes and up until 6 hours after the first class meeting for summer classes.  For self-paced classes, there is no refund given after registration since the materials for the entire course are made available immediately.  If you are unsure if the content is suitable for your student, you should first check the trial class and make your decision from that.

WHAT Is the policy for class cancellations?

For live classes, if the class minimum has not been met, the class may be cancelled.  If this is the case, the class will be cancelled a minimum of 48 hours before the first class meeting, but often it will be cancelled as much as a week beforehand so that enrolled students will have time to make alternate plans.  You are always welcome to reach out if you wish to know whether or not a class that has not met the minimum number of students is likely to be cancelled.  Self-paced classes are not ever cancelled.

In the event of an emergency where a single class meeting is cancelled, a makeup class will be scheduled and students will receive a refund for that particular class.

GRADING

A grade is available for a class if you wish.  In that case the student must complete all three tests as well as six projects/labs of their choosing.  Worksheets and homework problems are not turned in and are not graded; they are simply for students to test their understanding.  For the Investigations in Forensic Science class, in order to receive a grade, students must complete six labs/projects of their choosing as well as a final project approved by the teacher in lieu of the three tests.  All work is due two weeks after the last class meeting.
